Kirby Heyborn

We are please to have actor/singer Kirby Heyborn in our store June 27 at 1:00 P.M.  Kirby is best know for apearing in the films, Singles Ward, Singles Ward 2, Saints and Soldiers, and the RM.  He will also be in the upcoming movie, Scoutcamp.  Kirby also has a number of music CD’s under his belt, and he will be promoting his most recent album, “The Elm Tree”.  Feel free to come by and have your CD’s and DVD’s signed!

Forever Strong Now Available!

The new DVD, Forever Strong, was released today.  I got to see this movie a few weeks ago and was very impressed.  I think it’s one of the best movies we’ve carried in our store for some time. 

The movie is based on a rugby coach from Utah.  The coach’s goal isn’t just to teach his boys how to be champions on the field, but also how to be champions off the field as well.  This is a great movie about the power one person can have to change the lives of others.

Confrence Ensigns Are Here!

We’ve had a lot of people anxiously waiting for the confrence edition of the Ensign to come in. We just got our shipment in yesterday and we have plenty for everyone. Come Meet Author Anya Bateman

I am pleased to announce that author Anya Bateman will be in our store May 23rd at 12:30.  She is the author of the new book “I Just Got a Letter from Allyson Pringle”  which is a great novel for teens.  Here is what one customer had to say about this book:

New CD from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Tops the Charts!

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has once again come in at #1 on Billboards Classical Chart with their new CD “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”  The album was also #126 on the Billboard Top 200. 

This is a great CD of classic American folk hymns.  Some you may be familar with and some you may not.  Every song is a great arraingemnt by Mack Wilberg.  Below are a couple a music videos of songs from the CD.

Come Meet Reflections of Christ Photographer

I am very excited to announce that on May 2nd Mark Mabry, the photographer of the Reflections of Christ project, will be in our store to do a signing.  His artwork will also be on display at the Bellevue Stake center from May 2nd to May 9th.  If you haven’t seen his art work yet, then make sure you go check it out!  You can learn more about the project at reflectionsofchrist.org.  Below is a slide-show of some of his work. 

Joseph Smith Papers: Revelations V1 Available for pre-order

The Illustrated Neal A. Maxwell Quote Book

We have received in the Illustrated Edition of the Neal A. Maxwell Quote Book.  I have to say that I am very impressed with this book.  Like many others in the church I just love the unique way he uses words.  President Hinckley said that he used to read Elder Maxwell’s talks three times, first “just to get a sense of it.  The second time to learn what he said.  The third time to really appreciate it as gold.”  As I’ve been reading through the various quotes in this book I’ve found myself doing the same thing. 

The illustrations in this book accent Elder Maxwell’s words very well.  They come from many well know LDS artist, and tie in very nicely to the quotes that share the same page. 

This book is a must have for every LDS library in my opinion.
